Yea I don't think it really fits steam punk either. Thought it would be closer to cyber punk but nature-oriented should be even closer to the game.

well, to be honest, even if i did it, i must say that the terrain doesn't
fit at all with the steampunk^^ it must me remade too.
considering the steampunk of some miyazaki movies you could use it just in
some outskirt campaigns, with some untouched nature where the green fits a
lot.
but I would change it to a more scrapped and rusty environment for
representing the core steampunk style.
anyway, dont you think that actually the whole globulation gameplay is too
nature and wilderness oriented to be steampunked?
i mean the first time i played it i felt like playing a race that was
taking over a wilderness world. something like warcraft2 style, but with
some progressive evolution race.
you know... like the globules too, they look like a natural thing, fitting
in the rest of the natural game, grabbing fruits... living in a forest...
the water all around... using stones for making building... green and
colors everywhere...
where is the post-nuclear rusty-metallic technologically-arranged
heavily-polluted mechanic-powered style?
think what i did must be redone, starting from the color casting... and
that wall will never fit anymore^^
