If we want to keep powerfull air turrets (which I'm not fully convinced as 
building air units can also be a good defense against other air units and is 
much cheaper than turrets), we have to modify air units to avoid enemy 
turrets otherwise they will only get destroyed while player has no control 
over their behaviour, which would surely generate frustration and mailing 
list trafic ;-)
