Follow-up Comment #15, bug #66530 (group pspp):

My wrong doing - i feel ashamed!

i must run "make check". However, i thought this tests the installation and
not the PSPP syntax or PSPP functionalities.

You refer to INSTALL
"Optionally, type `make check' to run the self-tests that come
with the package. If any of the self-tests fail, please mail"

Nowhere it refer to "testsuite", or to "PSPP syntax test" or "PSPP
functionalities". Also to README file is included in tests folder.

I propose the followings

a) tests folder must be renamed as pspp_syntax_tests or
syntax_tests. This is much better understood.

b) a readme file inside syntax_tests that will explain how to compile them and
run them. I think an independent make file that can run inside the
syntax_tests folder will be ideal.

c) A better explanation for each test - what the user must look if an error
appear.

After compiling them the results were fine:

1620 tests were successful.
15 tests were skipped.
