I think it's a pity stepwise regression is not implemented in PSPP. I know
that there are objections against the method, but I find it gives me better
insight than other methods in the best solution for the prediction of one
variable by one or more others, like the change in R-squared when another
variable is entered into the equation. I've tried out all the methods SPSS has
to offer, and have finally, for the reason mentioned above, come down on the
stepwise method. Therefore, I would very much like to see this implemented in
PSPP.
