"2.0.2.6" I don't know. 2.95 is an old release (from 2002?). It counts
the tramp.el CVS version number IIRC.
The release scheme has been changed later. Now we know Tramp 2.0.x,
which is the stable release, and 2.1.x, the developpers branch. It is
up to you which version you'll apply - on production systems 2.0.x is
recommended.
And yes, the Tramp download area has been moved to ftp.gnu.org
recently (announcement will be on the list next days). Congratulation,
you are the first one who discovered!
