Very well. That was the idea of realising it as a script. So you can
adapt it to your personal needs.

Not quite. The recording of the voice keyer messages gets done by the
external 'rec' command from the sox package. Contest recording itself
uses also an external script (scripts/soundlog) atm also based on rec.
Finally playback is handled by 'play'. (see audio.c for details).
What still is done with OSS and needs a rewrite to ALSA is the whole
suite of scanning functions (in same file). But I am not sure if that
functions are really needed or should better be done by an external
program.
