Yes, sorry, but one of our outstanding issues is how to securely re-enable
file removal from the download area. It used to be enabled. But then a
security vulnerability was discovered and we had to disable it. Until then we
are happy to remove files for you. Simply ask as you have done. Thank you
for posting a ticket for this.
Meanwhile I am looking at the directory and it looks like one of the other
Savannah Hackers has already started to work the problem. I see the timestamp
on the directory is within the last hour and the directory is empty now.

The mirrors will need time to sync up with the new contents. Before the old
content is replaced with new.
However I would think that at any time now you would be free to upload new
content as you desire and then those would be mirrored with the next mirror
update cycle.
