The network card QEmu detects is a _virtual_ one. And it should already 
have received an IP by the _virtual_ DHCP in QEmu. The _virtual_ router 
inside QEmu will act as a masquerading firewall to your QEmu instance, so 
that network connections to the wide world will seem to originate from 
your _host_ machine.
