[Openexr-devel] .so version numbers

While upgrading to OpenEXR 1.5.0 I noticed that the .so version numbers 
seem to have been reset to 0. For example, whereas an OpenEXR 1.4.0 
build would generate libIex.so.4.0.0, the new ilmbase-0.9.0 builds 
libIex.so.0.0.0

Is this the expected behaviour? I was hoping to see something like 
libIex.so.5.0.0
