I've been to www.mysql.com. I can only 3.23.43 rpms. Can you provide a
location where I can find yours.

No, that is OK. That is the new behavior, some functions are missing.
The code should be compiled. I need to read your include files to guess
why and how I can fix it. If you can't provide your rpm files,
I'd like you to send a tar of /usr/include/mysql and the output of
'ls -l /usr/lib/libmysqclient*'

If it doesn't work, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.
