Hi altogether,
Info:
my system: Linux/Lubuntu 18.04.4 LTS, 64 bit
lynx: Lynx Version 2.8.9dev.16 (11 Jul 2017)
Can anybody help me with the following problem?
I often use lynx for documentation purposes by saving forum-pages as a
".txt-file" using the "-dump"-option like so:
lynx -dump
"https://itsfoss.community/t/save-changes-on-ubuntu-live-usb/5189/7" >
./file.txt
Normally that works very well but I can´t use this command if the page
is password-protected.
The resulting .txt-file yields among other info:
"Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private."
I have got the credentials (user name and password), so that should be
no problem.
But I´m at a loss as how to implement them in the command. I´m not sure
about the syntax.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Greetings.
Rosika :-)
