may i have an example of your goals?
If i understand you, you want to select an item for download, bypass all
protections in between, and find that item on your desktop.
speaking personally, I can think of many reasons why that extra step as
it is, is more helpful than a problem.
let's say that as presented, the file you desire has an actual name of
http://sniffles#7jile8#rivhelhsjieli128r3cr.mp3
What the extra step lets you do is change that file name to something
like sniffles.mp3
without all the extra characters and the risk that because the actual file
name begins with something that may conflict, you end up with the file
you desire where you desire it, with a name that is easy to locate.
You do not want that option at all?
Personally, its a saving grace for me because many many many times the
file to download has a name with no relationship to its actual contents.

I am using lynx to download a file. Currently i need to go to line containing
file url and type 'D' to download file but this will download file in temporary
buffer and then ask to enter Save to disk option. I want to disable this and
want lynx to direcyly download file with proper extension
directly bypassing save to disk option. Please help. Provide some solution.
