...in the meantime, I found that finishing ncurses 6.2 took precedence.
These are checking the user-agent string, and refusing to reply if it
contains "lynx". On the other hand, "l.y.n.x" works, as does "l_y_n_x".
There's nothing to fix on this end -- the bug is on the other end.
I compared strace's with links2, could see that the pattern of reads/writes
was similar, and considered whether it was one of those broken-compression
sites before moving on to the obvious.
(I have some other, genuine fixes to make -- ttyl)
