the semantic should be to disable (or enable) the nested table feature.
What "nested tables" means, you should know as well as I, since it was
your feature.
I repeat: this is *your* code. I never did any *conditional* on the
presence of this "feature". So please define what effects turning off
this "feature" should have.
Attaching a copy of a page which doesn't behave properly with your current
table changes, but happens to work when nested tables are toggled off.
(About half of the links are not reachable with the tab-key).
I will look into it. Meanwhile, better remove these silly if's and
#ifdef's.
