If you have a copy of Lynx that you can run through this proxy, then
running Lynx in trace mode could cope an exact record of the dialog with
the error messages embedded in it. Then we might begin to guess what is
happening, whether there is a problem with the proxy or the network beyond
the proxy.
On the other hand, if you are having problems running Netscape through a
proxy, this is a bit off-topic for the lynx developers. By the way, please
send further questions to the lynx developers care of <address@hidden>.
