I hope you are not trying to make Lynx accept that file as a Lynx
bookmarks file - it would probably be invalid as such, so that
removing links wouldn't work right. (Make a backup copy if you
want to try that.)

I don't know what the markup in your file looks like, or what `bullet'
or `definition' file means to you. If you think that Lynx renders
some HTML incorrectly, you should include a sample and describe what
you see with Lynx and with that other browser.

Try to find the right "Display character set" for your situation.
You may also have to specify something for "Assumed document character
set". Both should be changeable via lynx.cfg, the invoking command line,
or the Options screen.
For MS Windows the actual display character set may differ between
running Lynx in a window and fullscreen (MS's fault), so you have
to find the right settings for the way you actually use Lynx.
