The advice to talk to your local network adminstrator or use the newsgroup
comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc still stands.
Note, if the floppy is bootable you may be able to load an alternate
stack via that. You might also want to investigate how whatever software
you used to access the machine with Lynx 2.6 works.
