What's gclib? glibc?
If so, then it seems you're trying to install a "foreign", newer mtools
package on your RHEL.
There must be an mtools package delivered with RHEL 2.1AS. According to
http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/redhat/enterprise/2.1AS/i386/src/MByName.html,
that must be named mtools-3.9.8-2. Is there any way you can get hold of
that? That package _must_ work. ;-)
