1. grub doesn't boot Debian after boot menu (Andre Bischof) I would cheat and install a new copy of grub2 elsewhere until figuring out the answer then perhaps try tweaking your new grub2 until it breaks too and work out exactly what broke it? alternatively just keep using the new grub2 until you can fix the older one? 2. Booting an iso image Can grub2 be installed on a partition (perhaps on a usb-stick) and boot up to a boot-menu with options to boot into any iso files it finds in a particular folder? Could grub2 boot up a set iso file that is always in a same place? Regards from Tom :)
