Using a function would be more flexible, and less likely to break:
filter() { cat; }
if [ -f tun0.net ]; then
filter() { sed /^eth/d;/^wlan/d;/^NetworkManager/d; }
fi
RSLVCNFFILES="$(/lib/resolvconf/list-records | filter | ...)"
