Hello, I have a "Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series" ssd, and here are the temps infos I get: # smartctl -a /dev/sda -d sat 190 Airflow_Temperature_Cel 0x0032 066 055 000 Old_age Always - 34 # hddtemp --debug /dev/sda ================= hddtemp 0.3-beta15 ================== Modèle: Samsung SSD 840 PRO Serise  field(5) = 0 field(9) = 161 field(12) = 57 field(177) = 2 field(179) = 0 field(181) = 0 field(182) = 0 field(183) = 0 field(187) = 0 field(190) = 34 field(195) = 0 field(199) = 0 field(235) = 1 field(241) = 211 First time I ran the two commands, they where both to 33, a bit later, they switch both to 34, so I guess it should be the temperature we are looking for. I think it is in Celcius as at least it is not Fahrenheit. (the max reached at 45°C (100-55) and the trigger at 100°C is plausible as this is a highly efficient ssd newly bought) Note the little typing mistake "Serise" instead of "Serie". Hope it helps you, Thanks for your work, A Ubuntu user. |
