[Gnump3d-devel] CVS access blocked?

http://www.gnu.org/software/gnump3d/cvs.html says:

  To checkout the initial version of the code run the following  
commands:
  cvs -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/gnump3d login
  cvs -z3 -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/gnump3d co 
gnump3d

I've tried this from a couple of nets, but on the login I always get:

cvs [login aborted]: connect to subversions.gnu.org(199.232.41.3):2401 
failed: Connection timed out

Am I doing something dumb or has cvs access been blocked?  What's a 
better way to get access to download the cvs version?
