midi file is wierd

The attached lilypond file has two voices, both of which start
together on the first beat of a measure, with no rests preceding
them.  lily prints it correctly.

However, the midi file she produces won't play at all on jazz, and
timidity plays it with the voices starting at different times.  A midi
dump program called mftext (which comes with abc2midi) tells me:

        Error: unexpected byte: 0x0f

jazz tells me:

        GetEvent: unknown Status 0

3 times, and then produces a display with 4 tracks with very short
stubs, which don't produce any audible sounds when they're played.

This is with Lilypond 1.5.3.
