Hello,
As Leo and I have noticed, the map editor in Beta5 uses USL now. This is a
problem because it prevent editing old maps, but also because USL currently
lacks serialization to be useful. Yet I'm convinced that on the long run USL
is the way to go, because it is so close to completion and far more powerful
than SGSL (Martin, any ETA on serialization ? ;-) ). Script execution is not a
problem because Glob2 runs both script types in parallel. So I propose to add
a command line switch to choose which script type mapedit should use. It is
probably not difficult to do, as looking at the log of MapEdit.cpp should allow
one to locate the old code quickly. Unfortunately, because of the closing end
of my Phd, I do not have time to work on it, so hopefully someone could do it.
Have a nice day,
Steph
