weired. so i replace the running binary, kill it and it gets started over again if the 5s-timer sees it's not running? strange, but looks like it works. will save us if the server crashes. will it save us once the server freezes in some infinite loop, too?
I didn't write the scripts, but from what I can tell, it works when the server loses its bindings to the ports needed. So if the server crashes, provided its not in gdb, then it should be restarted within 5 seconds. If it gets stuck in a loop, or usernames/hosters get stuck because of unknown desyncs, a quick server_restart when no one is on, fixes this.
Otherwise, you can also log into the server, run kill all glob2 (or whatever command), and all servers die, then come back online within seconds.
i forgot to ask: is beta2 served via beta3? most people interested in glob2 should be running beta2 clients.
There is a beta2 sh script there. I'm not sure why it didn't show up for you.
Beta1-3 all use their own servers.
