This is not a bug in make, nor is it in any way related to GNU make.

I suppose it's possible, but since we don't know anything about your
makefile, the code you're trying to compile, the arguments it expects,
or anything else we can't help you.

This list is for people having problems getting GNU make to work.  I
suggest you contact the support folks for the compiler/linker, or for
the program you're trying to build.
