Make / Win 98 question

Dear Sirs;

 

    I sent the following message to 'address@hidden' but don't know if it is better directed your way???

 

    I have recently loaded the FGT suite of tools (from MIPS) onto a Win98 PC.  The installation of both cygwin and FGT appeared to go without error.  However, when I attempt to run the Getting Started example, (/usr/local/sde5/sde/examples/ex1), I receive the following error:

 

sde-gcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 11

 

    This same error occurs on two different Win98 PC's, but it does not occur (with the exact same installation) on a WinXP machine.

 

    Any ideas??
