Thanks for the report; however, I need more details before I have
anything that can be acted on. What platform were you on, and what
tarball were you trying to build? Also, do you have the associated
section of config.log that shows the actual failure encountered during
that part of configure? I'm hoping to release 1.4.19 this month, and
am hoping that you merely encountered something present in an older
tarball that is no longer a problem in the current m4.git.
