We'll have AIX fixed completely in the next release based on
the multi-language-branch.

This is also not up-to-date. AIX does need to know all the libraries
that are referenced, but that doesn't mean it can't create shared libs.
This is fairly recent, as of AIX 4.2 if I recall.
