Follow-up Comment #2:

I tried to provide checks/replacements for sbrk / lstat.
This should solve your issue (but you may encounter others).

The changes are in latest CVS, thus I close the item.
However, I have no chance to test under a MinGW env,
so if you are unsatisfied with the results you should reopen,
and provide the new information.

Changed priority to wish, since MinGW support is not a priority
for the project.
