Follow-up Comment #3, bug #24250 (project grub): Urm I forgot that the core.img is probable still the old. /boot/grub stuff gets only updated by running grub-install by hand. The postinst of the package doesn't do this, except when you upgrade grub package with grub-pc and say yes to chainload it. grub-install --no-floppy --grub-setup=/bin/true "(hd0)" That's the line from grub-pc.postinst you should run. If it then still happens I don't have an idea. For compiling just check the build dependencys of grub-pc package. For example apt-get build-depend grub-pc installs everything you need for it as long as you have a deb-src line in /etc/apt/sources.list. Ubuntu intrepid's grub2 is still old it's from 2008-05-12 so it doestn't have Bean's change I mentioned in the Debian bugreport. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?24250> _______________________________________________ Nachricht geschickt von/durch Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
