--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
[gtags.el] ... "GNU Emacs version 23 or later is required."
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---
Remember I have tested emacs-23. And I think. It should work also on
emacs-22 {according to the info provided from Michael which was gotten
from emacs documentation. So It's official}.
BTW. I have been trying to remember "How I moved from etags to
global". But I have not being able of remembering It.
I need to mention this also. On gtags.el there is:
--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
;; Copyright (c) 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010
;; 2011, 2012, 2013
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---
Please. Do not forget to add 2020 to it.
I am thinking why "nobody has realized about this problem"" with the
password a long time ago. On emacs there are several alternatives for a
tags engine:
--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
1. ctags
2. etags
3. dumb-jump
4. global
5. xref
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---
Perhaps that is the reason.
Shigio. What is the future use for global-client?
Best Regards.
