I understand. For me, there is no reason to distinguish them.

When I took patch for DJGPP (GNU environment for DOS) support,
I foolishly had taken it as it is. Since DOS environment doesn't
have symbolic link, GLOBAL-4.3 and the later became the program
which cannot treat symbolic link.
