Hi,
My name is Pawel and I'm recently working on PLD Linux/GNU distro as a
developer. Last week I've started re-using XEmacs, which I hadn't used
since Cherry Coke turn my laptop's mainboard into a piece of garbage. I
wanted to have a good tagging system so I've looked around and found this
lovely project. :D
Trying to incorporate it into my distro I've created specfile and a few
patches, which I would love you to look at. In the PLD distro we are
trying to implement my funny idea to keep users' configuration files in
a different location (including support for a daemons which do not have
any access to user's environment). To do it fast we have libhome_etc
shared library, to which support I've integrated in your sources. If you
find it not to wicked please leave the changes in your tool for the
future.
I'm attaching tar.gz which contains patch files I've applied, modified
versions of the source files, home-etc manual pages, and a few words of
explanation (which you can find in README). I've also put there a
specfile for PLD's RPM for you to see our approach (e.g. globash called by
aliases derived from /etc/profile.d or xemacs and less subpackages for
other common tools integration). Feel free to call my attention to
anything you won't find fine it it. :) Thanx once again time for a
wonderful set of tools.
