Your question is really not appropriate for the list. We don't do
distributions here. The answer would depend upon many specifics of
what you are trying to install.
But generally when you install a distribution it will give you the
option to either partition your disk or run mkfs (make filesystem) on
your drives. Either of those would certainly remove all contents from
them as a natural course of action.
So the most likely successful answer is that you just need to install
the new distribution.
