I'm sure you already know this, but:
"ls" (version 4.1.9) is described as listing by default in ASCII order,
but in fact it ignores case. In ASCII order, of course, capitals precede
lower case. This behavior differs from that of version 4.1, which lists
by true ASCII order.
"ls -v" (version 4.1.9) reverts to true ASCII order, but this isn't
documented; the option is supposed to effect only version numbers
(suffixes).
