It does not fix the problem. I just now built the development coreutils (8.30.19-8ea92) on Solaris 10 sparc with GCC 3.4.3 (csl-sol210-3_4-branch+sol_rpath) in a /tmp swap filesystem, and 'make check' had problems with:
