bash $'foo' quoting problem

Hi,

the bash-3.1.5 has a problem with quoting which leads to
a different output of

    echo $(set -- $'a b'; echo $#)

and

    echo "$(set -- $'a b'; echo $#)"

The patch below fix this problem.
