bug#30158: 11.90.2.2017-07-25; latex from command line is ok, but called from auctex, gives problems

So finally I installed Ubuntu 16.06 also in the other laptop and 
found the same (for me very serious) problem.

is this? I will try it also on my very old machine with Ununtu
