[AUCTeX] freeze when LaTeX-fill-buffer'ing a file with a line like %%%...%%% (lots of %)

Hi all,
When I do LaTeX-fill-buffer on a file which contains the following
line, emacs/the xterm freezes:

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

It freezes only when there is a lot of %, say 50. With 10 signs I have
no problem.
That is so critical for me, since I can use another symbol to make
divisions in my tex file, for instance % ***********************, but
however it's weird. Can you reproduce the problem?
